Casino/Hotel Accounting Auditor

Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Employee Gaming Card.
SUMMARY: The Audit Clerk is responsible for analyzing and preparing reports on revenue (from Casino, Hotel, Food & Beverage Outlets and/or Retail outlets, etc.) on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Retrieves previous day's work from Department and/or Outlet assigned to.
Creates journal entries and assists with account reconciliations.
Analyzes and prepares reports on various revenue centers on a daily basis.
Traces all revenue and expense documentation to the controlling computer reports.
Proofs all reports and summaries prepared in the Department/Outlet and reconciles to computer printouts and other reports.
Enters data into computer, listing all revenue sources from previous day. Compares data to prior documentation. Compiles exception reports of variances.
Files completed audits by date and performs research on past activities as required.
Takes any meter readings required for the assigned audit.
Consistently promotes and provides customer service to guests in accordance with the Thoughtful Service Model, Company policies, procedures, department SOP's and State and Federal policies/regulations.
Regular attendance required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

None.
QUALIFICATIONS

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates' Degree preferred. One or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and be able to maintain the applicable regional Gaming card(s) and/or License(s), if any.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of LMS and InfoGenesis a plus.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
