Casino Audit Supervisor

SUMMARY: The Casino Audit Supervisor is responsible for the daily accounting and audits of the property, ensuring revenues and settlements are recording accurately.
Direct staff effectively with productive problem solving and creative motivation.
Ability to learn and complete each staff member's job duties if necessary.
Review and sign off on daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly audit checklists and reports to ensure revenues and settlements meet gaming requirements and accounting standards.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile related general ledger accounts monthly.
Ensure audit exceptions are written and logged by staff and appropriately responded to by management in the allotted time.
Responsible for the calculation and recording of Live Entertainment Tax.
Provide internal and external auditors with requested information when required.
In charge of record retention for the casino area.
Other duties as assigned
Regular attendance as schedule for work is required.
The Casino Audit Supervisor is responsible for the direction of the audit staff and is accountable for all revenue being accurately recorded and reported to management daily which includes but not limited to casino revenue.
The position requires the ability to understand and interpret rules and regulations, think critically and creatively, and work effectively. The position will require carrying out a variety of tasks as they arise, requiring flexibility and the willingness to do whatever it takes to do what is needed at any particular time within the position's scope of work, to support the work of the audit staff and management. All employees must be knowledgeable of the policies and procedures of the company, including but not limited to fire and safety regulations.
AA/AS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or 3 years of relevant work experience.
The ability to obtain a Nevada gaming card is necessary.
Communication of detailed information both verbally and in writing required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. An understanding of basic Algebra is beneficial.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required, including the ability to create simple spreadsheets and manipulate complex ones. Advanced accounting systems experience required. The knowledge of casino operations software including, but not limited to Aristocrat and possess the ability to learn other systems as required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
